Native Americans of the Chesapeake

 

Using the Sultana Education Foundation’s state-of-the-art digital projection system and a 1,000 square-foot map of the Chesapeake Bay, participants take an interactive journey through the history of indigenous people in the Chesapeake region from 14,000 years ago to the present day.  Learn about the various tribes that have called this region home for millennia and the incredible bounty of natural resources and intricate waterways that made the Bay such a desirable location for human habitation.
