Join us Sunday for Downrigging Family Day at the Holt Center. You can look forward to a variety of hands-on activities targeted at children including:
- Downrigging Petting Zoo: Come say “hi” and get up close to miniature horses, goats, geese, rabbits and other traditional farm yard animals. There are bathrooms on hand so washing hands afterwards will be a breeze.
- Buoyancy Challenge: Children of all ages come and put your boatbuilding skills to the test. We provide aluminum foil, popsicle sticks, duct tape, etc. You provide the creativity and shear genius required to build your own boat and compete with others to see how much it can hold.
- Make a Sailor’s Hat: Get into the spirit of Downrigging by making your own custom sailor’s hat. We provide the hat (one per child please!) and coloring gear. You provide the imagination and artistic skills.
