Wildfowl Decoy Exhibit

Visit Chestertown’s newest cultural attraction, the Chestertown Decoy Museum, to explore a world-class collection of working wildfowl decoys and decorative carvings of waterfowl and shorebirds from throughout the East Coast flyway.
During Downrigging Weekend, the museum will be open for both guided and unguided tours. Visitors can see remarkable work by some of the most celebrated carvers in American decoy history, including the Ward Brothers of Crisfield, Maryland; A. Elmer Crowell of East Harwich, Massachusetts; John “Daddy” Holly and James T. Holly of Havre de Grace, Maryland; Ira Hudson of Chincoteague, Virginia; and many others.
