Downrigging Weekend will mark the public opening of the Sultana Education Foundation’s new Lawrence Wetlands Preserve. Located four blocks from the waterfront, the Preserve’s 8.5-acres of meadows and wetlands will be open to the public from dawn to dusk. The Preserve’s Harwood Nature Center will host a variety of author talks during the weekend as well as special regional meeting of Tall Ships America.
