A Weekend of Tall Ships,
Music, & Community

Sultana Downrigging combines the largest annual gathering of Tall Ships in North America and a high-energy Bluegrass festival – all set against the backdrop of Chestertown, the coolest small town in America. There’s no other festival like it.

Downrigging is hosted by the Sultana Education Foundation, an educational nonprofit that provides environmental literacy programs for 13,000+ students annually. Festival proceeds support the Foundation’s programs and the other participating nonprofits.
